Dr. Krahn did an excellent job on my surgery. I had no complications other than having to stay in for a few extra days after my oxygen stats were low and they put me on blood thinner just in case I had a blood clot. It never gave me any problem though. My only complaint is that I never say Dr. Krahn again other than my first visit for evaluation and my surgery. But his staff has done a great job and I am sure if I had needed to see him or had problems I would have. I started at 478 pounds and he wanted me to lose weight before my surgery and I was able to lose 78 pounds. The day of my surgery I weighed in at 400. I have really followed the rules about the amount that I ate and not drinking for 45 min after. Stay on track with the small amounts 2 oz then work up to 3. I am eating about 4 oz now. I am still on pure protien I have only went off my diet a few times and then it was to eat some dressing at christmas and a roll. Other than that I manage to stay away from all other food but protien. I eat mostly cheese (all kinds cottage cheese, sting , you name it), chicken and turkey patties. Beef tends to bother my stomach a lot. I ate a lot of tuna the first few months but a little burned out on it now. I swim as my excerise 3 times a week though I may have to step that up now as my weight loss is slowing down. I will try to post more later.. Good luck with you journey
