Fawn, I understand how you feel. This is the one day that you believe should be special. However, my birthday is 7 days before Christmas so you know either I get a birthday present or a christmas present or none at all. I have gotten used to no one doing anything special for me so I can empathize with you. However, realize that you are a special person in your own right. Whether or not anyone did anything special for you, treat yourself to something good and don't think about it. Be good to yourself and others will follow suit. Best wishes to you and a Happy Belated birthday to you. WIshing you many more and may God continue to bless you.

Lori - Two years ago, my mother didn't remember my birthday....now, in my head I knew that she was in an assisted living facility, not totally aware of what was going on around her, but my heart wouldn't let me let go of it. That day was the first day I realized just how much she had gone down - she wouldn't have ever forgotten my birthday on purpose. I know what you are feeling...Best wishes for a belated birthday and just focus on your upcoming "re-birthday" and a whole new way of living!!

Hi Fawn, Wow what a striking page. You did a wonderful job. Good luck to you in you efforts to get the surgery and start your new life. Believe me, all the waiting and worrying will be worth it in the end.

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.**Hugs**

Fawn, I was in the same boat with asthma last June, 2002. It was due to gastric reflux. They kept asking me if I ever had a tube down my throat to help me breathe. I was in ICU for 2 days and spent a week in the hospital. Not as bad as you, I didn't develop pneumonia. But I was on oxygen for a couple of weeks after that. I've had small attacks since then, but nothing as serious. I had wls 12 weeks ago and am happy to annouce I have had NO asthma attacks in 12 weeks. I am off singulair and almost off Advair completely. I have lost 60 pounds and feel so great. I don't need my nebulizer or inhaler anymore, but do keep them close just in case.
I wish you the best of luck and I hope you get your surgery soon. I'll be praying for you.
