I have been overweight most of my life. When I was young I can remember my mom taking me shopping in the "Huskey" section at Sear's. I hated it. I lost weight when I was a teen but by my mid to late 20's I started to gain the weight back. I am currently at 363 lbs. I have been living in denial and choose to live like that no longer. I am hoping to convince my insurance to cover me, and my goal would be to loose 150 Lbs. GBS is my only hope. I have completed the program at Kaiser, lost 75 Lbs. and had met my goal weight and was 4-6 weeks from surgery when my company relocated me back to Wisconsin. In this state GBS is not covered. Having completed all the pre-surgical work with flying colors the people who run the Kaiser program thought my chance's of success were very good. I hope to update my story to include post surgery updates sometime soon!
