Been a while

Sep 20, 2013

I haven't even looked at this site in a few years, I think. Too bad. I have gained a lot of my weight back, and fluctuate quite a lot. However, if I were to eat and exercise like I did up until about a year after my husband's death, I would be doing quite well, I think.  I had to have a revision a few years back, because it turned out that my fill was pouring out as fast as it went in. The long part of the band had been spliced together and had come apart. So, $12,000 later it was repaired. Unfortunately, this did not lead to a similar weight loss.

Losing my husband took a real toll on me. As time went on and I attracted attention from all the wrong sorts of men, I began eating again. Frankly, I can eat as much as anyone around me, most of the time. I don't know if my pouch was too big, or if I just have a high pain tolerance. I cannot really feel when I am full, though.

However, I am still a good 45 lbs. lower than my highest weight, despite having gone through menopause and making several drastic life changes.
