OK .... Like my first pictures online read.... The buck stops here!! I have had diabetes for 33 yrs (40 years old now) and have been on the pump for bout 11 years so that I could deliver a healthy baby.... in which I did.... all 11 lbs of her. She is said to be 6 ft tall as an adult and I BELIEVE IT!! She is now soon to be nine on March 12th and very fit and beautiful!! I weigh 240lbs right now and just had my first consult w/ Dr Lieberman at the Cleveland Clinic here in Naples. After having a 11 lb baby in 1997 and quitting smoking in 2000 I was told that I was going to feel like a whole new me.... shoot I gained a whole new me... 100 lbs total. My goal is 140 premarriage weight. Wish me luck!! I was very nervous meeting my doctor because I wasn't even sure if I was considered a candidate. I mean how disappointing it would be if he would have said "You are not fat enough!” Well looks like I am and I am now scheduled for my first tests to get final approval for the surgery in Mid March.... One is with an endocrinologist, pulmologist and a nutritionist. I can't wait to see the outcome on those visits.
