Pre-op visit.....

Today I went to Lexington Medical Center in Columbia SC to have my pre-op done. That took about 1 hr or so. Then I had a vascular study done. Everything went well. So the next appointment I have is for my filter placement and that is April 21. Today I am feeling a little down because I have a lot on my mind and have to make a big decision. Well I made my choice but now can I live with the choice I made......I will have to pray hard about it and sleep on it.
I just want it all to work out and not to have any worries later. I have discussed it with my best friend and explained to her my opinion and my choice and she said it could be just between us and I think that is how I am going to do this.
She understand where I am coming from and she gave me her honest answer to my question. Whewwww...... I had to have to chose between things.
I may talk about it another time but right now is not the time.
I'll be back at my next appointment. Take care until then.

One month away.....

As I look at the calendar I have one month before my surgery. I am getting excited more and more. I am now on the diet that they want you to go on before your surgery and it is very hard to stick to it because I never really stuck to one in the past. I hope that my willpower kicks in and takes over.
I have been craving for some chocolate ice cream so I went out and bought me some sugar-free kind and it helped a lot.
So anyone with suggestions on what I can do to past the time let me know. Otherwise I will keep you up dated.

Today for me is a little gloomy. I for the first time have sat down and actually thought about my pre-op diet, my surgery and I'm not afraid of the surgery part but sticking to my pre-op diet is what I am afraid of. I am so scared of failing yet again on another diet. I need the will power to be able to do what I need to do. If anyone out there have any advice please feel free to share it with me. I would love to have it.
Ask the weeks quickly passes away I am getting excited about the surgery. I have my next appointment on April 9th and thats for my vascular studies to be done. Enough with my whinning... life goes on. I pray to Jehovah and He will see me though.

Today I went for my pre-op class where they explained the surgery, food intake and about IVC filters.... I was a very informal class and I did learn a lot. We also talked about pre-surgery diet. The protein shakes 
I don't know about that one, 2 a day with a sensible dinner. Ummm Yummm. I am looking forward to this.
Also... A dear friend of mine( Who I really like...A LOT) told me that he was going to be there for my surgery. That really made me feel good. I look forward to having him there.
So oh well.... To new beginnings.... My next appointment is April 9,2008 when I go for my vasular study and my pre-op with the doctor.

My pre-op class is on March 18th. I am looking forward to attending and getting things started. My surgery date is April 29th and I have several appointments to attend before this date. So let's begin this new journey......
