Hello everyone, I just talked to Gar and I wanted to give you an update on herself.
First, would you all please take the time to post a positive message to her page here, she really, really needs our support.
As you know Gar has been in and out of the hospital since her Surgery one week after mine in May. Most of her time has been in PCU or ICU and has only been home about 2 weeks since then.
Today they did two new tests on her. The Gastro folks believe that the problem is that she has a blockage. They tested her yesterday and again today with barium and nothing goes past a certain point through her digestive system. They wanted to wait and do a third test tomorrow but Gar is having none of that!! She told the Doc's "If it hasn't moved in 2 days what makes you think it will by tomorrow?" She is waiting on them to come speak to her as I post.
If it is a blockage she will have to transfer to her original hospital where her surgeon did the WLS and have him repair the damage.
She is depressed and sick of being sick. But she knows and accepts that if it takes another surgery to make her well, she will gladly do it.
Amos brothers and sisters, this wonderful friend to us all has exhibited more intestinal fortitude than most anyone I have ever met and really deserves some support. Please send her something to make her laugh, or a tender prayer, or just a good thought that she can hold dear when she reads her profile. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and will be praying the Father gives you peace for your Journey. Pastor Kay
