I moved to Southern Illinois about 16 years ago and was overweight and didn't have many friends so, I really did go out much and  I started to put the weight on a little at a time until I was like what happened? I have raised 4 beautiful children and my last 2 are headed to college in the fall and I decided this was the time for me to start thinking about me and my health and the time I need to be sharing with my husband. I started the decision for the gastric bypass in January 2012 and I have my date set with the surgeon in the next week. I am so excited this has been such a long, hard and exhausting experience and I am still scared about all the horror stories I have been reading on other peoples blogs. But, I have faith that God has lead me to my decision and it will be up to me to follow my doctors recommendations.
