So...

Jul 28, 2009

yesterday, I go to Victoria's Secret looking for this 100 ways bra or something similar because I have a dress that is low in the back but of course I still need a bra. I ask the chick about the bra and she says they don't have it there but they do have a 5 ways bra and a 7 ways bra.  I tell her what I need, she asks if she can measure me first, I say sure (pretty confident in my accuracy).  Anyway, as she's measuring me, she asks what size bra do I currently wear.  My response, 38C.  She continues then says, I'm measuring a 38B.  WHAT?  Stop playing.  I went from a 42DD to a 38B,  I'm still in denial because I have on a 38C and it fits well to me (closes in the front so it pushes the girls closer together).  Today, I prepare my clothing, take my shower, get dressed, and face the reality that the chick may have been right.  I put on my cute 38C turquoise and black satin push up bra and STILL had room at the top.  Ridiculous!  I guess it's back to the bra store I go.  BTW, the bra was what I needed but did not work well due to the excess skin because it wraps around the stomach.  That would only create more problems.  Now, I am going to get the one with the tape on the sides.

Enjoy!

A Long Time...

Jun 29, 2009

I can't believe how long it's been since I logged in to OH!  It's ridiculous. I have been doing well, still not at my goal but not far from it.  It's about time to consult the plastic surgeons for consultations.  Without the excess skin, I would have exceeded my goal but currently, I am 14 lbs away.  I added some recent pics, thought I changed my profile pic but apparently not.  I'll come back and visit more often.

Put on the sexy shoes...

Feb 08, 2009

As I was looking at before and after pics, I noticed that many people are still wearing the same style-less, "fat people" shoes.  They are acceptable every now and again (i.e. when you're sick) but PUT ON THE SEXY SHOES.  You can not be 175, dressed to kill from head to ankle and then have on some ugly flats or sandals.  Step your game up.  That's all I'm saying.

202 lbs.

Dec 26, 2008

Today is my birthday and I am so excited and filled with emotion.  I am 34 years old and this is the smallest I can ever remember being.  200 plus pounds at 16 and more than double that age, I am smaller.  Who would have ever imagined?  I can not contain myself.  This is the first year in a LONG time that I have been excited about my birthday.

Happy Holidays!  Happy Kwanzaa!

I MADE it.  100 pounds GONE forever!  This has been a good week, the weight has been falling off.  I am sure that I will come to a point very soon when it will slow down again but I am enjoying this.  39 pounds to go to make my goal...that's doable.

216

Nov 28, 2008

As soon as I lose 2 more pounds, I would have lost 100 lbs.  I am so excited.  I know it's premature excitement but come on, 2 lbs., that's doable.  The difference from 314 to 214 is absolute freedom.  I never fully knew the limits of my own imprisonment until I broke free.  It is really a different world out here.  Of course, there are still some people who don't verbalize the change, they just look.  But, there are others who notice and say so.  I have received nothing but positive comments.  The funny thing is when I wear my id to school headquarters and I'm talking to someone whom I've never met, they go back and forth between my id and my face.  It's hilarious.  I can't wait to change my license pic though (less than 1 month away) as well as my 34th birthday.  Well, stay tuned, more good things to come.

Goal Complete

Nov 24, 2008

I made my 220, actually at 218.  4 lbs. to go before I make the 100 club.  I am so excited.  So, next goal...lose those 4 lbs., then, get under 200.

2 lbs. to go...

before I make it to my first goal of 220.  I'm the bomb like tick tick

New Dress

Nov 02, 2008

I got a new dress Saturday.  It's a size 14/16.  I could hardly believe it.  I guess the weight really is coming off.

Doctor's Visit

Oct 30, 2008

I went to my PCP today.  She said that I was doing good and that she almost didn't recognize me.  She also said that I need to step up my exercise routine to try to cut down on the excess skin.  So, I went back to the gym today.  I am going to have to make time to get there at least 4 days per week.  I did good for my first time back in almost 2 months.  I did my 5k, walking and jogging a couple of machines and some free weights to strengthen my arms.  I have been exercising, just in the house/neighborhood but the gym works much better, no distractions.  The doctor also said that my pants weren't flattering and I shouldn't wear them.  She is very straight forward.  That cuts out 2 out of the 6 pairs of pants that I currently own.  What am I going to do with 4 pairs of pants with a 5 day work week?  And, 3 of those are jeans.  Out of the 3, 2 are exactly the same except for the size.  Oh well, it will work itself out.
