Lucie was the first person to add me as a friend on this site. Every post I read from her was upbeat and so full of support and concern for everyone. It breaks my heart that she did not survive her infections. My heart is so heavy thinking about her husband and children. You were a beautiful, wonderful person. To Lucie's family- At this time, words alone cannot express the feelings of loss that you are experencing. Having known Lucie the way that you have, ou know what a kind and loving spirit she was. The world was definitely a brighter place for her time in it. At your great loss, I can only convey what Christ did in Matthew 5:3-5 ESV "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." I pray that the Lord envelop you in His love and grace, and that you find comfort and peace during this tragedy. God bless you all. Doug Brackbill

To Lucie's Family: C'est avec une grande tristesse que j'ai appris la mort de Lucie. En ces moments difficiles je tenais à vous faire part de mes sincères condoléances et à partager votre peine. Words cannot express how sad I was to read of Lucie's passing. As a Mom of three little ones, I ache for her children. She went through surgery because she loved them so much, she wanted to do everything to be healthy so that she'd be around for them longer. I know she is at peace in heaven... I pray for peace, love, and understanding for her family. Whenever you see something beautiful, think of your Mom's love for you. Whenever you laugh, know that your Mom is laughing with you. Whenever you cry, know that her love and God's love are surrounding you in comfort.
