Staci-THnaks for your kind words and well wishes. I am 5 days post op, everything went as scheduled. I am feeling great. I noticed you had your surgery at Gunderson. I used to live in Winona and am familiar with your hospital. Congratulations on your continued success!!

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all. (unknown author) FROM MY HEART TO YOU~*~Hugs~*~

I Believe In Angels I believe in angels, their presence is everywhere. In the warmth of a helping hand, in the smiles that people share. Angels are at the heart of the good things people do, And when our days are troubled, their caring guides us through. Angels' love is all around, in the stars that light the night, In a mother's gentle words, and arms that hold you tight. I believe that angels are special messengers of love, God's way of making Earth a bit more like Heaven above. ~~Author Unknown

Stacy - I awoke this morning at 2am, and you were the first thing on my mind. Were you able to get in to see the doctor about your lump? What did she/he say?

Stacy, Glad to see you back on the board. I will be praying for you, that your husband chills out a bit, and you are able to enjoy your new life a bit. Hang in there, and hopefully things will work out. Hugs!

Hey Stacy - First, I need to tell you that you were such an inspiration to me when I started on my WLS journey a year ago. Next, I need to tell you that ALL PEOPLE NEED A LIFE, INCLUDING YOU! It's fine if you want to have insterests and be social. My husband and I KNOW that if we don't accept this from each other that we will resent each other down the road. If your husband keeps you from doing what you like to do, then you might end up resenting him for it, too! I say keep your interests alive and tell your husband, "a happy mom/wife always equals a happy family!"!...good luck - and PS - we DO care what you're writing these days and it's great to see you back on the message board.-Juliet

Hi Stacy. Just wanted to let you know I always read your posts - I should be better about replying though. I'm a new post-op - 7 weeks out and 45 pounds down. My husband made a comment this weekend about me leaving him when I lose all my weight - which surprised me because he has always been a very strong person that never doubted himself - but I guess the insecurities are there. You're doing the right thing by reassuring him, but he has to take some responsibility for his emotions at some point. I agree that counseling may be the best route. Hang in there! We're always here for you.
