Heidi, I just want to wish you all the best with therapy and dieting. I know it had to be hard to admit you don't feel ready for WLS yet. I know what ever path you take you will be successful.

well amos family... i've decided to change my surgery date to april (it was originaly scheduled for 2-26-03)... i don't feel that emotionally i am ready for this surgery right now.. i feel i need to give it one last try at dieting (it'll will help me to realize how much i need this surgery) i also have some worries about my compulsive eating issues... i eat to reward myself, to soothe myself, to defeat myself.. (i'm sure you've all experienced this to some extent) i'm going to start seeing a therapist on a regular basis to help me with my "issues" then i'm hoping to be emotionally ready for this surgery... i kinda feel bad about all my family and friends who have taken days off of work and such tobe there for my surgery, but i know that i will be ready when i feel like i've tried a little harder to prepare myself... thank you all... and wish me luck on my new begining!!!!... my healing for a healthier and happier me is now begining!!!.. God Bless

Heidi~ I emailed you about a week ago sharing the fact that I feel so much the same as you except that I, of course, am not nearly as close to a surgery date at this point. I just want to send out my support for you because I'm sure that things will go just fine and your feelings are normal. I hope you find peace within yourself and I wish you a most successful surgery and uneventful recovery. Prayers for you......
