The Healing Has Begun

It's day 5 post op. I'm on full liquids, no pain meds, no nausea meds and except for some tightness and pain on my right side where the port is, I'm feeling quite good. I've been walking everyday and taking advantage of the beautiful weather. I'm so hopeful that this will work for me I can't imagine doing anything that would sabotage success. I'm taking full advantage of watching the forums and learning from the path taken by others. I look forward to continuing this life changing journey with the wonderful supportive folks I"ve found here. Wishing all continued success, I'm grateful you've made room for me on the losers bench. I'm down 6 pounds from surgery weight and 16 from my highest pre-surgery weight. It's just the beginning....there are great strides to be made ahead.
