I have finally final all of my pre-op testing and have pass them all. I just have finish up with my NUT until mid December and she will write my letter. I hoping that my paperwork will be submitting sometime in December to my insurance and hoping that I will have my surgery in Jan. 09 with my new life as a loser. I decided to join the GYM today and start getting my body in shape and getting the gym in my system. I have lost 5 pound in the several weeks so I am happy about that.

This has been a very busy week for me. On Monday I meet with my Endocrinology to go over my lastest lab work my TSH level are very slow she explain to me not to worries she has schedule so more blood and glucose test that she want to see and also another procedure to see about my thyroid. On Tuesday had my stress test with  Cardio test everything went wonderful and he has clear me for the surgery. Today I had my EGD done and everything is good and he stated he will clear me for the surgery. On Friday night I will have my sleep study. I getting excited because everything is falling into place. I just have to get the other tests done for the Endocri and finish my NUTclass and I can't wait until December when my paperwork will be submit to my insurance company.

Hello OH Family just a quick update tomorrow I have my Psyc Evaluation I'm little nervous but I know that I will do good. Also Friday night I have sleep study to see if I have Sleep Apnea. I still have two more Pre_op testing to get done and finish update the NUT classs before they will submit anything to the insurance company.

Well today was my first appt with the Nutri. today it was a very pleasant appointment she explain alot of different things to me. Went over what we will be following for the next several appt that I have with and how this surgery is just the beginning, but I also need to maintain a healthy eating and living also. So I'm very experience she also give me different sample of protien shake to try and ask me to start adding them to my daily meal to get use to drinking them. So she explain after my visit in December 08, she will write my letter that I have completed the diet plan and that the surgeon assistance Sharon can submit my paperwork over to CareFirst.

Hello OH Family well today I had my appointment with the Pul. doctor today and everything went well now I''m schedule for sleep study on October 17, 2008. I will have my first appt. with the NUT today afternoon I have to do 3 month of diet program with her for my insurance. I'm schedule for the Pysc Eval. on Oct. 16, 2008. I also have schedule is my appt with the Endco. on Oct. 27 and Gastron on Oct. 24. so everything is falling into places.

Until my next update

Quick update I meet with my PCP today and he was very happy that I meet with the surgeon to get this process start. So he given me all of the Doctor name  that he want me to go to see for my requirement testing to be done. I have an appt. with the Pulmonary Doctor on Oct. 6, 08 at 11:45. I have my first appt. with the Nutritionist on Oct. 7, @ 2:00. I see need to schedule my appt. for the Psych. Evaluation and the Endocrinology and I will be working on those of appointment first thing in the morning. My PCP is also with the surgeon to see if I have to have 6 month of diet documents from him. So he will get back to me in the once he get information. I feel so good today because I see the journey in a NEW life the process is being.

Also got some bad news today my grandmother has breast cancer and my uncle has cancer is might not make it through the weekend.

 

Hello OH family, well today I meet Dr. Kalan and he was so nice and very understanding. He answer all 100 question I had about the surgery. He stated that I was a very good candidate for gastric bypass. Well I have an appointment tomorrow with my PCP to get the process start and start getting all of the necessary test and forms sent back to the surgeon and so they can submit my paper work to Care First. Wish me luck.

I noticed that I have been reading a lot of profile and I have learn a lot. I also have been encourage by a lot of the profile. I just keep praying and looking forward to meet the surgeon on Monday. I have talked to my PCP Dr. Cuna and he working on the required letter that CareFirst is requesting. I will meet with him on Tuesday 9/30. I will the result from Dr. Kalan and Dr. Cuna next week.
