I talked with her last night and she sounded GREAT! Surgery was just fine. She was nauseated yesterday, but when they took her off morphine, that went away. She wasn't thrilled with the Heperan shots, which are given in the belly. As far as food, she eats a few ice chips and that's it--no hunger. One of the nurses told her it was like a baby learning to eat. I asked when she'd get to come home and she was told there is least a 3-day stay in the hospital. The hospital staff is great, although the more experienced nurses are nicer. She wasn't able to go to the daily class yesterday because of the nausea, but plans on going today.

Monday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench! ~ JudyAnne
