First let me start off by saying that I am not the patient, I am the lucky husband of Melissa (aka-Melcha). When I first met my wife over two years ago she told me that she wanted some day to have weight loss surgery, that everything else she had tried had failed and she wanted to stop her medications and feel better. She had been actively perusing the surgery for 5 years and gone to any seminar she could find from Lakeland to St. Petersburg, Fl. I asked her to let me know when the next seminar is so that we could attend together. We went to a seminar and when we left, I turned to Melissa and she we will do this and do it now. She spoke to our Primary Dr. who was all set to help us and we started the six month requirements needed for Aetna. When we got her approval we ran from our home in Winter Haven to St. Petersburg to get the Optifast and 2 weeks later on Nov, 27, 2007 at 5:00 pm our lives changed. I have watched the transformation of the love of my life. She becomes more and more beautiful in heart and spirit (and body) each and every day. We are so blessed by God and I am her #1 cheerleader and will continue so.
