GOSH!!! That was one of the best phone calls I have ever received today. My surgeon called to let me know I was approved for surgery today by my insurance company. All I could do was cry. Since August 2006, I have been doing everything my insurance company has asked as far as consults with dieticians, Dr. supervised diet and exercise plans for 6 months, a sleep study, etc. It feels GREAT knowing I didn't do all of that in vain. Right now I am thinking surgery will be May 16, 2007 but I am going to call the surgeon to visit with them in a few days. I am so excited but very scared about death. I just love my husband and daughter and don't want them to be without a wife or mom. My parents aren't very supportive. They say they are, and they probably are to the best of their ability, but all they can think of is the negative right now. Hopefully I can convince them that this is the best thing for me. They won't change my mind but it would sure make me feel a lot better knowing that they support me 100%.
