So...I went to my initial group meeting with Dr. Mo back in October. I called his office to set up a 1-on-1 meeting in November. Here it is the begining of a new year and I'm scheduled for my surgery Feb. 19th. Words can not express how I feel right now. I was sooo excited to hear that I had been approved for the surgery! I was so much on the fence about having it done, but this was the push i needed for me to get over that hurdle. My son is all I thought about. What if something goes wrong? Then my boy will be with out his mother. But the more I think about it, if I continue like this...my son won't have his mother regardless. My family is not really supportive of it. But I have friends and even my OB/GYN was estatic when I told them. I have lived in fear most of my life and I hope this will change the way I look at things and how I live my life and be a better mother. Hell, we all take chances walking out that door everyday to drive to work or the store, so here I am, take my steps out my door to hopefully a healthier me.
