I am a 25 yr old female who has been battling with my weight for the past 13 yrs or so. Its been like a yo-yo, up and down, up and down. Even though I am what some consider to be a "Small Fry" compared to others (207 lbs.), I am pleased to say that I was approved for my surgery on the first try.
When I met with my surgeon (Dr. Matthew Kirkland of Pennsylvania Hospital) for the first time he was very informative. He seemed very concerned with everyones well being, and made me feel very comfortable. I was already ahead of schedule and I had already had the documentation (recommendation letters and medical records) that was required for my insurance company on my first appointment. My papers were sent to the insurance company, and within a matter of a few days, I had an approval.
I am overly excited. I am pleased to say, I'll see you all on the losing side.
