I've been heavy, overweight, fat, however it can be said for every minute of my life! I don't remember a time when I didn't feel fat or when I could buy clothes in a "regular" store.
For most of my adult life, I have been happy and successful in most everything that I do, except for in the weight department. I have been married for 13 years, have two beautiful daughters and have a successful career that I enjoy. I have spent years being unhappy with my body and have also spent other years being happy just the way I am. Over the past year and a half, I have noticed that it's harder and harder to live the busy lifestyle that I enjoy. I hate being out of breath on steps and sitting down on a Friday night with aching feet and knees.
I had my RNY surgery on March 12th, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Sister's Hospital in Buffalo, NY. I came home from the hospital on Friday, March 14th and it's been an amazing journey ever since. I can't wait to see what the next year brings me.
