Remarried Part 2

So on August 10th 2007 Rodney aka Big Rod and I will have known eachother for 10 years to the day. That is why we picked that day to get remarried. I have to be the luckiest woman alive....My husband is the absolute greatest. Let me back up a little ;-)
August 10th 1997 I was cruisin around in my gold T-Top Nissan Pulsar...t-tops off of course...Well i'm sitting at a stop light waiting to turn left and what do I see cross in front of me but 2 men in a blue car...i'm feelin lucky so I honk and the passenger shrugs his shoulders like whats up babe. Well my light turns green so I turn left and look in my rear view mirror and what do I see?? Oh my gawd they are so turning around....so I turn into a driveway and wait...well they come in behind me and this 6 foot tall very good lookin guy gets out....ok so i'm actually looking at the driver who sits in the car. The one that gets out asks me for my number...well waaaay back then I didn't have a cell just a pager so I give him that. He tells me they will call me later...whoo hoo...now
I had been mending a broken heart for 9 months from a TOTAL loser and can't wait for them to call. I didn't have to wait to long..a couple of hours later I get a call..first thing he asks me is do you know which one this is??? I am thinking its the driver...he says i was the passenger and was the one who asked for your #...i'm like ok...so we agree to meet that night at a local bar/dance club. We met and danced alot..but as I was going to get a drink...who do I bump into??? My ex that I was tryin to get over...THANK GOD all he said was hi babe...and moved on...(he was the one I was mending my heart over& he is now in Prison for the rest of his life) Well Rodney and I danced all night then we both went our seperate ways...he promised to call....yeah RIGHT!!!! Well he did call the next day and even asked me to out on a date, but there was a stipulation..im thinking GREAT!! Well his stipulation was that my 5 year old had to go to...WTF??? Where did this man come from?? We met on a sunday...went on our first date on that next wednesday and spend EVERY single day since then together. When we met I was about 280...so weight was never an issue and he tells me all the time my eyes are what "got him". Well what ya'll don't know is that Rodnay had flown in from Japan a couple of months earlier, after getting out of the Navy. He was actually getting ready to go down to Cali to stay with one of his boys for a few weeks then go home to Florida. Well about 2 weeks after we met we were sitting in my car down by the water and we told eachother our life stories and I knew from that day that he would be in my life forever...that is the day I first told him I loved him and the day he asked me to marry him.....AND the reast is history...lol....but to this day I am thankful that some prayers are NOT answered because had I ended up with the driver...I definatly would not be where I am today because the driver ended up being a total loser and the RIGHT guy ended up being my husband....NOW ladies i'm gonna brag...not only is my husband yummy...BUT...he cooks, cleans(everything)and loves me with all his heart....he is my heart, my soul...my everything. AUGUST 10th 2007 we will renew our wedding vows in front of our family and friends...please join us for fun, dancing and a night to remember...

So my mom surprises all of us this weekend!!! OK so actually her boyfriend did....We are all eating pizza(ok so im eating a salad because I cant eat pizza...BLAH!!!) but he looks at my daughters and say, you all are going to have to start calling me Grandpa......WHAT????????????????????????????????????? They are getting married in January!!! He is a GREAT guy and i am so happy for my mom because she is HAPPY, he is soooooooo good to her. Well we all tell her how happy we are for her, but when my 8 year old gets into the van she said she is nervous about grandma getting married...I say why??? She sais that it reminds her how much she misses her grandpa(he passed away last year)Well this gets my tears flowin and we are both crying, I tell her that Tom did not mean it like that, but that he wont take your grandpas place and that she didn't have to call him grandpa, because grandpa was your grandpa.....Well little do I know at this exact moment my 14 year old is in my DH's car saying and doing the exact same thing, and my DH is crying because it chokes him up...I tell them both that I wont call him dad because Biff was my dad, but that i'll just call him TOM, and that you can call him whatever you want to call him. I think way down deep it hurts because not only does it remind me THEY are not married anymore, but that dad is not here......BUT I am so glad my mom has someone who will take care of her, and love her for who she is, a wonderful, caring and loving person....I LOVE YOU MOM!!!!!!!!!
