So it is 10 days after my one year surgiversary and I reached my goal of 160lbs. INSANITY!!!

So here are the stats:

Start Weight: 299.9lbs
BMI: 43.4
Start Date: August 26, 2010
Starting Pant Size:24/26 (XXL)

Goal Weight: 160lbs
BMI: 22.3
Date Goal Acheived: September 5, 2010
Current Pant Size: 8/10 (M)

I can't believe it. Now I just need to tone up all my jiggly bits. Hahahah

Well 9lbs to go to goal but that is about where the good news stops. Just spent 4 fun filled days in the hospital with still no diagnosis. Went into the hospital late Sunday night with excruciating pain on my right side, just under my rib cage. First thought gall stones right? To bad i don't have a gall bladder to start off with. Had it removed at the same time as my Roux en Y. So that is off the list of possible causes. So 1 CAT scan, 2 ultrasounds, 1 xray and endless blood tests later no one knows what is wrong with me yet other then screwed up liver enzymes and super low blood pressure 60/40. The Dr.s think it could be a left over stone that is stuck in my bile duct but will have to wait till next week to find out. So for now I am not allowed to work or drive do to the morphine i am on for pain.

On another note i love how people just assume that everything that happens has to be because of the weight loss surgery. Like bad stuff can't happen just because.

Almost 8 months out (4 days to go) and 25 lbs left to lose. I am down 109 as of today and in a size 12/14. Waist is a 10 but the boobs don't help. I am very excited at the fact that I could possibly be at goal by my 1 year anniversary. Feeling great and very proud. Thanks to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way.

HOLY CRAP!!! It's official...I have reached Onderland and am down exactly 100lbs as of today. I am so excited. I thought this stall would never end. It feels awesome. Yippee!!!

Well it's offical...as of today i am NO LONGER OBESE, just overweight. That is madness. I have not been this weight since before highschool. Size 26 down to size 14 in 5-1/2 months. I feel great, way more energy and can tolerate most foods. Tried red meat (ie. roast beef) about a 1-1/2 ago and it was SOOO not my friend. Thinking I will try again soon but not in a rush.

Well it has been far too long since I have written anything so here goes. I am just over 5 months post op and am down 89 lbs., started out at 299 and now 210. Once was a size 26 and now a size 16. It is incredibly hard to believe. I have so much more energy, feel so much healthier and happier. So things are hard to get used to, well some things. I have not been anywhere near this size since I was 12, over 15 years ago.

Now if I could only kick this damn smoking thing...again. One stupid weekend, one bleeding ulcer and I am sit at it. You would think I would have learned. Damn inherited stubborness!!!

Hoping to be at my goal of 160 lbs. by my one year anniversary which is Aug. 26. Wish me luck!!

Surgery in 2 Days...
Not really nervous. Wondering if that is normal? Pre-surg diet went ok except for the fact that 11 days in I realized that the Isopure I was drinking had 30g of carbs. Boo to me! Large bottle = no carbs, small bottle = LOTS OF CARBS. Go figure. Not looking forward to "the cleanse". Really, cleanse, there is nothing clean about it. Ewwwwww!!!!

Pre-op aapointment on Thursday, August 13. SO EXCITED. Cannot wait for it all to begin. Not a fan of all the vitamins though...they kinda make me nauseous. Anyways....so very excited. Glas I have the AD/DC concert this weekend to take my mind off of it.

YIPPEE!!! I got my surgery date…AUGUST 26! Happy belated birthday to me!!! So excited. Already booked the hotel. Very Much looking forward to starting my new life. As Dr. Phil would say today is a changing day.

Well had my consult on Friday. Yippee, one step closer. Dr. B has faxed over my chest x-ray and blood work so my my file is under review and then they will contact me with a surgery date. Too exciting. My surgeon, Dr. Slikkers was super nice,knowledgable, very to the point and answered all of my questions exactly. I can't wait for my phone to ring. They told me it should be around the end of August so that will be a happy birthday to me if it is.
