Well it's been a bit but I now have a consult date with Dr. Steven Slikkers at Munson Medical on May 29th. So very excited. Have not been able to sleep since I got my OHIP approval so I really can't wait for my surgery so that I can get some sleep. Averaging 3-4 hours a night and starting to feel it. Was sick all long weekend. Booooo. So glad I was able to get my chest xray before I got sick because I am sure it would not have looked too pretty in there. On another note it has been 2-1/2 months since my last cigarette. Yay me. Attempted to have a puff of one this weekend but ended up coughing up a long so I definately think that that is the end of that.

Whoo hoo...OHIP approved me for weight loss surgery at Munson in Traverse City, MI. And to think yesterday I was all worried. Now the really worrying begins. So much to do before surgery...so much to think about...so many people to tell.

First things first, I have to call tomorrow to make an appointment for my consult and meeting with the nutritionist.

Is is wrong to say that I may induldge a little now on my fave foods that I know I will not be having for sometime after my surgery or at all?

Hope not beacuse that is the plan.

It has now been exactly 2 weeks since I have sent in my forms to OHIP and am dying to hear back on my approval. Every time the phone rings I am dissapointed when it is not my doctor calling to say that OHIP has faxed them my approval. Needless to say that none of my friends or family are to happy with me right now since ever time one of them calls they get a "Oh, it's only you."

How can someone have that much patience when it comes to something like this? I have no patience to start off with so this is torture.

Hoping that I get approved the first time around, no extra information needed, no appeals needed.
