My Progress after 8 years.

May 25, 2012

Today marks 8 years for me since I had my surgery. I have not gained any weight at all since I lost 156 pounds. I'm still at 102. Recently I lost my Mother and did drop down to 100. I'm 5'3". A few years after my surgery I was diagnosed with diabetes. It runs in my family. It is hard to maintain the diabetes cause I still can't eat a lot. I think my success is based on the fact that I never drink sodas or anything fizzy. I stick to juices, coffee, tea, and water. Most people I have talked to that have gained the weight back I think stems from them returning to those fizzy drinks. They expand your tummy. I can still walk better than ever and do things I could not do when I weighed 260. FOr those of you that are still skeptical. Go for it! I will be the best thing you have ever done for yourself as long as you continue to follow the guidelines. When I first had the surgery I still wanted to overeat a little. It was hard to judge but now I know when to stop! Good luck to everyone who decides to do this cause you are in for a better and more satisfying life than you've ever had before.
