Making Changes Pre-op
Jul 19, 2009
I have been feeling extremely weighted down and tired all the time. I have sleep apnea to boot, and wake up exhausted every morning. But since I have taken the steps to a completely different way of life , I have begun some small changes now.Since it is so hot and humid outside, I go to the local dollar store and walk up and down every isle for as long as my legs can take it. Usually 30 to 45 minutes. I do this at least three times a week. If I poop out they have a bench inside that I catch my breath on. LOL
I have also started changing my eating habits so i will be used to eating small amounts (hopefully soon), after surgery. For breakfast, afternoon, and evening snacks I eat a six ounce container of non fat yogurt. (The Best Choice brand.)
Also I drink at least 5 ten ounce glasses of ice water every day.
Not only have these changes helped me feel less exhausted, I have lost about 8 pounds in the last month.
I have found some energy and am now able to rest when I go to bed at night.
