Karen, I am only 16 days post-op, but my first week was horrid...I cried and cried, I was sooo thirsty and could only sip my water...I wanted to gulp thos 4 oz and 4 more ozs...but it does get better. Trust me...Just stick to your guns and realize that you made a decision, it may not seem like the right decision right now...but IT IS...Keep in mind the reasons you chose to have this surgery...Anway, Wishing you all the best... :)

Dear Karen: We all feel like that when we are first post-op. Give it some time, after you begin to heal you will feel better and you will think differently. To me the first 6 wks after surgery is the worst. Then it slowly starts to get better and better. When the weight starts to drop off and you begin your journey you will not regret a thing. You are in my prayers. Take time to heal. Debbie H.

It's okay Karen. I know you feel like crap now...but soon you will be up and going and feeling great. Before you know it you'll be 140 pounds and riding a horse...or what ever it is you're wanting to do. Just keep remembering why you did this....don't loose site of that dream...that's important. I pray God's merciful hand be laid upon you and the pain be removed from your body. I also pray that God's speed be placed upon your recovery. ~In Jesus Name~

Having wls is a big decision to make.....You have made the right one. CONGRATS!!.. Heres to an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery. It is the best thing I could have ever done for myself and I bet you'll feel the same way too. Remember small bites, chew like theres no tomorrow, get tons of H2O, and dont forget that protein! Happy re-Birthday!!!!

karen, best wishes to you for an uneventful surgery and a recovery thats as quick and painfree as possible. This quote is from a book my grandmother gave me before she passed away. It was one or her favorites.(Kahil Gibran) "But if in your thought you must measure time into seasons, let each season encircle all the other seasons, and let today embrace the past with remembrance and the future with longing"
