Karen, Congratulations on getting your approval. I wish you all the best with your upcoming surgery and pray that the Lord will continue to bless you and keep you in his loving care. I know God will be with you and see you safely to the “losing” side. He will be guiding the surgeon’s hands for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Karen: My name is Toni Treadway. I live in Atlanta, Georgia and I just read your post about needing a "bariatric friend"! I know that we're a few hours away, but I am offering my services! I love to correspond by email and phone and love meeting new people through my WLS experience. I am 7 1/2 months post op from a lap rny on 9/4/01, and have lost 91 pounds so far! I went from a size 24 to a sixe 10/12 and am feeling great and loving life! My husband has been incredibly supportive of me and my son (he's 6) keeps saying that his "mommy is getting shorter"! It's a blast! Best of luck to you on your journey and know that you are in the best of hands! The AMOS website has been invaluable to me and the kindness and support I've received over the last 2 years (researching, insurance approval, etc.) has been amazing! Keep in touch anytime.
