Kathy, best wishes for your surgery. I know you are in good hands. September 10, 2003, will be my one year anniversary. I don't regret this decision at all. My hope is that you recover quickly and use the tool well. Remember, every day gets better than the last. See you on the losing side.

Kathy, I'll be thinking about you on the 18th! Sorry about the emails bouncing back. I no longer have access to the address in my profile, and I haven't figured out how to change it. Please contact me at [email protected], or on my profile page if I can help you along the way. The first few months are all brand new territory, so if you need someone as a sounding board, or just a buddy who's been there, don't hesitate to get in touch. I didn't become a regular on this site until after my surgery, but it might have been nice to have someone reassure me along the way. (And, thanks for the comment on my screen name. I think a lot of people think it's my real name! I ride an aqua blue Vespa everywhere I can get away with it--including commuting to work. It's a ton of fun!) Best wishes to you.
