My name is Katy, I am 23 years old and have been obese for the majority of my life. About a year and a half ago I decided that I was going to look into having WLS. I have tried numerous diets through out my life and never was able to keep the weight that I would lose off. It has been struggle dealing with my weight all my life, but I am sure everyone knows all about that. I researched weight loss surgery and deliberated for a while on if, I should have it or not. Finally on May 23, 2011, I had my DS surgery and I have never looked back. I am on the pursuit of happiness, emotionally and physically. I learn more and more everyday about how to treat my body better and nourish it well so I never end up in the slump I was once in before.
