I am a physician. I have 3 lovely children and 2 stepchildren. I want to ride bikes with them, go down water slides with them and ride roller coasters with them! I love life but want to enjoy more of it. I have been overweight since 10 years old. I lost a bunch and got down to a size 10 my freshman year in hs but gained it back. Each pregnancy (only 2 because I have twins) I gained weight, lost a bunch after delivery but gained it ALL back. My last pregnancy I carried twins, started at 333lbs, gained 30 lbs, I am currently the weight I was with my twins at full term and together they weighed 14lb 9 oz (not including placenta and stuff). There has been a lot of stress in my life too, new job, moved back to Illinois, husband now staying at home with the kids, issues with my husband's family.
I had my surgery consult on 8-24-06 with Dr. Marshall. I've gotten one response from insurance that all the necessary paperwork was not completed. I had it completed and faxed the very next day which was 9-6-06. Now I'm just waiting for the final answer.
I am planning a lap RNY. I am excited to get a date soon!
New info: I have an appointment with Psychologist on September 20, 2006, the day after I turn 33.
September 22, 2006 I had my birthday and Psychology eval.
Surgery scheduled for 11/10 then rescheduled for 11/15 and rescheduled a third time for 11/27.
Pre-op testing on 10/24 and Pre-op Appointment is on 11/7.
