Well I had my surgery on Nov 20/07, all went well, apparently I was the first, first ever person in all of North America that they used a new scope on, a scope that they did not have to pump me up with gases.  Surgery went well, I had it done on the Tuesday and headed home on the Friday, I could have went home on the Thursday, but that was the American Thanksgiving and they suggested I stay an extra day and rest due to the weather, so I came home on Friday and everything has been wonderful.  I have given myself the lovenox injections 2x a day, didn't think I could ever give myself an injection but I did.  I have not had any problems with foods, except for eggs, extreme gas pain, but it was 8 hours after I ate them, so go figure, I don't want to try them again any time soon.  I find that I burp a lot, don't know why, but I do.  I had my drain tube out on Nov 28th, and only one incision which the stitches were removed does not seem to want to close, give it time I guess.  I am heading back to work tomorrow, little nervous due to foods I should bring, but I guess I'll pack some yogurts and soup, and definitely water and crystal lite with the profect syrup.  Go back to doctor for a followup again next week.

Well I had the heart stress test done last week, Sept 14th for the resting heart part, and then I had to go back on Sept 16th for the injection to make the heart race, all went well, wasn't as bad as I expected.  I was really worried that I would have a heart attack, but all went well and they were super nice.  I called Sally at Henry Ford today and left her a voice mail asking if there is any possible way that I can get a date for surgery beginning of Oct as the heart test was my final test, and 2 girls at work will be on vacation, which means I cannot be off work while they are off, which means if I don't get surgery soon, then I have to wait to November.  Hopefully Sally will call me back tomorrow and let me know.  So excited, yet nervous!!

So so happy!!
Well today I got excellent news, I do not have sleep apnea, but from the blood work I did, I have low iron, so my family doctor called in a script for me for iron pills, geez I didn't even have to go get the script and go to the pharmacy they did all that for me.  I am so so happy for the fact that I do not have apnea, I was 95% sure I didn't but how do I know if I stop breathing if I am sleeping, well now I know.  Next step is the psychiatrist, 2 weeks away.

Well things seem to be falling into place now, getting all the so called ducks in a row.  I had an appointment with Sally Green at Henry Ford the other day, got the bariatric bible I guess you could say with all the information in it from Sally, she went over everything with me, gave me the paperwork that I needed to get moving again.  I have to book an appointment to see the psychiatrist, I also faxed my family doctor the labs that I needed and picked that paperwork up today, so now I need labs, lung test, pysch test and 1 more visit with Sally and should be moving along.  I am so wanting this done now but getting nervous.  I had my sleep test on Monday, sleep eventually did come, as I remember dreaming 2 dreams, got up at 6am, headed home, got ready for work 9-5:30, got home grabbed a drink and had to go to this diabetic information class my family doctor suggested, oh my how tired was I Tuesday night!!  2 more classes to go and that is done, as I have one foot in the door for diabetes.  I am so excited yet nervous at the same time, kind of like a kid at Christmas.  Hopefully I can get all these appointments booked and get moving on with my new healthier life!!
