3 weeks Post Op Gastric Bypass

Jan 04, 2011

Hi everyone, well things are getting a little better for me. I started on soft foods a week ago and it's been a challenge trying to get in all my protein and water. Yesterday was not a good day for me because I had some tuna with regular mayo and after about an hour of eating it I started feeling nauseous for the rest of the night. I wasn't able to take anything else in and I was very weak. Today was a better day even though I didn't get in all my protein. I didn't feel nauseous after eating what I ate and I was able to swallow my vitamins. You know, you hear all these wonderful stories about WLS but no one tells you about the bad and I wish I had known so that I could have mentally prepared myself for what was to come especially that I suffer from anxiety and panic disorder. All I can do is pray that things start getting better for me and start moving, I have not done any exercise because I am so weak but I really need to start walking even if its for 10 to 20 min. a day. Till next week unless I have something to post, I'll see you then...

After Surgery

Dec 28, 2010

Hi everyone,
I am glad to say that my surgery was a success and I am 2weeks post op. Protein is my enemy right now but I do take in about 90 grams but not lots of water so I know I need to take in more water. It was a very hard first week because my anxiety level was so high that it made me so depressed and I wasn't able to get anything down. Being someone who suffers from panic and anxiety disorder I knew it was going to be a tough ride but nothing can prepare you for reality. I am feeling a lot better now but have my moments which I think is normal in my case. Just wanted to update you who are following my progress. 2 weeks and 21.2 lbs down YAY!!!! Very exciting. Till the next time drink you water.... xoxoxoxo
