Good Evening everyone! I'm updating on Kelly, she had the surgery Tuesday 1/21/03 and is still in the hospital at this time. Hopefully she will be going to her parents tomorrow morning to finish her recovery. Her pouch is very swollen at this time and she's unable to drink the fluids needed to go home. She has been doing allot of walking, which is wonderful we just need her to drink drink, drink so she can come home!! She's lost weight while in the hosptial down 7 lbs!! Thanks again for all your support!!

Hello everyone, here is one last update on Kelly Moran, she had the open on Tuesday at Albany Med, Albany NY. I went to see her last night and she's doing well. She has very high blood pressure at this time, but they are controlling that for her. She found out her new pouch isn't able to handle medicine well, she said it sat in her pouch all day and hit her like a ton of bricks!! Not sure if that has happend to any of you out there. Its been such a learning process for everyone. She called me this morning and sounds great. She is hoping to come home by Sunday and update everyone herself. She's able to drink a little water today. She loved the support card from this board. The staff at Albany Med. have been wonderful to Kelly, it has really made a difference in the healing process. Thanks again everyone for supporting Kelly. Here is a quick update on Kelly Moran, she had the open yesterday morning at Albany Medical Center here in NY. She is doing better today after having a rough night, she's in allot of pain, but was able to get up and walk around two times today in the hospital. I've been keeping her updated on all your post. Thank you for your support!!

Kelly, Congrats and welcome to the other side! I'm sorry you had to spend extra time in recovery. I had heard of this happening to other patients, waiting for a bed to open up. I hope everything else goes smoothly for you. Remember... walk, walk, walk!

Its 7:45 p.m. here in Albany NY, Just wanted to update everyone here on the board that Kelly is doing great. I talked with her husband and she has been moved to a room...she spent some extra time in recovery today due to a busy hospital. She is coming along well and tonight will need her rest. In the morning she can start enoying her new life. I will be printing the card tomorrow and bringing it down to the hospital in the a.m., thanks again for the comments!! Lets keep them coming!! I have a quick update on Kelly, her husband Shawn just called me and said she's out of surgrey (Albany Med.), she wasn't able to get an epidural, so she must do the pain management. Her husband still isn't allowed to see her and won't be for about an hour. We are not sure how her condition is at this time, but that she made it through the operation. Again I will update you when I hear more. Thanks again for your support!
