140 lbs gone in 7 months!!

Nov 29, 2012

This weight loss surgery was the best thing I've ever done in my life honestly. I feel great, no major complications, not a lot of hair loss (nothing I haven't been able to deal with anyway) & just to let you people who are going through with a lot of hair loss, that GARNIER FRUITSEE (sorry for the misspelling) FALL OUT shampoo and conditioner work great. I've been using them for a few months and I'm really happy with them. I definitely suggest it to the people having a hair loss issue. But anyway, I went from 307 lbs to 173 lbs, a size 22 pants to a 12 (which still shocks me every time I put them on), a size 3x to large shirts.. My roomate always laughs at me because she gives me things to wear and I doubt I'll fit into them because of my mind being so used to being heavy, then when I try them on and they are size medium or large, I can't lie it definitely puts a smile on my face. I've noticed I could care less about the increase in male attention.. I actually get annoyed by it sometimes honestly. Not that I ever lacked attention or confidence before, so it's nothing really new to me. But I am so so so so so so glad I made this decision. Now that I feel & look like this, I never want to go back to feeling & looking like that!!!!

8 WEEKS OUT

Jun 02, 2012

I have lost 50 lbs already!! I feel great!! I am so much happier shopping, dressing up, dressing down.. I'm just so much happier. Every where I go I'm constantly being told how good I look & everyone notices the difference. Knock on wood, I haven't had any major complications, no vomiting, nothing to bad other than getting a little nauseaus after eating & finding the right protien supplement..

If I feel this good after a 50 lb weight loss, I can imangine how good i'm going to feel when it's all over & I'm at my goal weight!!!

One month out..

May 06, 2012

It's been a month and a day & I've already lost 30 lbs =) I feel great. I am starting to notice alot of my clothes are starting to be too big & very loose fitting. My boobs are shrinking.. lol.. It may not look like it but they definitely are. I had to switch around some suppliments. The chewable vitamins & calcium were not working for me.. Well they worked but I could no longer deal with the chalky feeling from them. So now I have chewable candy type calcium bites & a liquid vitamin. Much better. The b12 & biotin are fine, I can take them no problem. A lot of people have been noticing the weight loss, which makes me feel good. I'm doing great!

13lbs gone !! One week !!

Apr 12, 2012

I'm one week out & I already lost 13lbs! That is exciting to me =)

I know 1/2 of it was fluids from the hospital but I was damn sure excited to see 289.2 on the scale today at my check up.

I along with a lot of other people, have been noticing a difference in my face, it's thinning out.

I'm so excited =) One thing is I have been having a hard time with protien. Ewwwwwww. Just thinking about it makes me want to throw up.

But it will get better once I can start eating solids right? I hope....

Surgery is done & I'm back home!

Apr 07, 2012

It went great. The hospital staff was amazing. The surgeon was amazing.  My surgery was about an hour, no complications. Everyone commented on how great I looked after the surgery, I was almost feeling quite normal. They roomed me with a woman who had the same surgery, same time and was on the same steps of recovery which was awesome, because I had someone to share the experience with, who knew exactly what I was going through. If I had to do it again, I would. It was not as bad as I expected, my recovery is going great. I have been walking around most of the day, keeping down my fluids, my tomato soup... It's really not that bad. I can't wait to see the ending results of this =) I went in at 301lbs, left at 307 due to the fluids.  I have already lost the fluid weight. I will be keeping everyone updated witth pictures as well =)

surgery is getting closer!!

Mar 14, 2012

So my surgery is approaching fast. I am so excited yet the closer it gets, the more nervous I get. I have one workshop class left, and one more appointment with the surgeon before surgery. I went to the education class with the nurse last week, which was very informative. I have done my research. the before and after photos I see on this site keep me excited. I actually watched a gastric bypass being done, it was "interesting" so to say. I did like viewing the video though, its good to know exactly how everything is going to change in my body. I have never gone for a major surgery so this will be my first time ever. I do know a few women who just had the surgery and one who had the surgery about 7 months ago, and already lost 107 lbs and looks great. I do believe she will be having a tummy tuck done but the excess skin on her arms is not bad at all. Hopefully I will be as lucky, since that is one of the things I am nervous about. However, I'd rather deal with some excess skin than being 300lbs. Like I had mentioned in my about me, I have always tried to not let my weight interfere with my life, but it is so unhealthy to be this heavy and i need a change.
