Here is a before surgery photo and a 6 month post opt photo. I weighed 366 before surgery and now weigh 272.


  

 

                                

I had to go today for a follow up appt. and I am pleased to announce that I have lost a total so far of 70 pounds!!    I am finally out of the 300 range. Now, in the 200 weight range. Seems almost unreal!! Anyways, I just wanted to give an update. I will post again later some time.

I had to go today for my 1 month follow up appt. even though it has been 1 month, 1 week and 6 days since surgery. I have lost 6 more pounds since my first 1 week appt. I was disappointed because i thought it would've been more but oh well, I guess it is better to have lost 6 than gained 6 pounds. They drew 10 tubes of blood today also and I go back for my 3 month appt. in July.

I had my 1 week follow up appt. today and I was shocked at the results!!! I have lost 18 pounds in 1 week since surgery!!    All together since my second all day consultation appt. I have lost a total of 32.5 pounds!!  I'm shocked!! I can't believe I have lost 18 pounds in a week and 32.5 all together!! It seems unreal! I'm very satisfied so far and I know I will continue to be satisfied. It sure feels wonderful to see the scales moving downwards instead of upwards!! Anyways, I go back for my 1 month appt. on May 20th. I will post again soon! Till next time...

I just wanted to post and let everyone know that my surgery went excellent on Monday! I had lost 4 more pounds on my low carb diet for a total of 14 pounds. It took about 1 hour and 15 min. The doc found that I also had a hiatal hernia when he got in there and he fixed that also. I was in recovery about an hour. I didn't have much pain at all, just soreness and they all was so shocked at how well I managed and also since it was my first surgery. I asked for pain medication only once. I walked alot also which is what they want you to do. They was all very well pleased at how everything went so smoothly. I was discharged late on Wednesday. I go back for my 1 week follow-up appt. next Wednesday on April 16th. My soreness is getting better with each passing day. Thanks to all that kept me in their prayers. I appreciate it very much. I will update again soon.

I can't believe I have only 1 more day to go!!      I'm getting excited now! I'm not nervous yet but I'm sure I will be tomorrow on Sunday. I think more than anything, I'm still in shock that it is actually going to be happening! It won't really seem real until we get to the hospital Monday morning. I got some "Before" pics taken a little ago. We are going to have some homemade pork BBQ, deviled eggs and some potato salad for dinner. I better enjoy it, as it will be just liquids from here on out for a while. Anyways, just wanted to post a update. I will update again after I get back home and feel up to it. The next time I post, I will be on the losing side!

Well, I am all packed and ready to go! I have 2 weeks and 5 days until my surgery! My bag is packed and I have everything I need to get me started on my new journey. I'm just waiting till it's time to hit the road. I have to go April 6th, to the hospital to get blood work and a pregnancy test done. I have to start my all day liquid diet that day too! We are gonna just spend the night up there that Sunday night, so we don't have to get up so early and head for the hospital, since we live 1 hour and a half away. Plus, I have to be at the hospital that Monday morning at 6:15 am. My mom thought of a good idea  to get a motel that has a indoor swimming pool. So, we made reservations at a motel with a pool and it has a hot tub also. I love pools and I figured it might help keep my mind occupied some and not think too much about eating. I'm also hoping it will get me good and relaxed, so I will be able to hopefully get a little sleep that night. We'll see! Our motel room also has a fridge and microwave, so that's good! At least I can eat some broth and jello. Anyways, I just wanted to come on and post an update. I'm sure I will post again before it's time to hit the road. I posted 2 pics below of my vitamins they recommend and of the unflavored protein powder I decided to get to help start me out. See Ya!

A Caterpillar In Waiting.....

A curious, anxious, excited & scared caterpillar named, "Kristy", is currently waiting inside of her cocoon. She is awaiting her big day, when she will start her transformation from a not so pretty caterpillar, to a beautiful butterfly. Kristy can't help but wonder what's in store for her and what she will look like afterwards. There will be so many changes taking place in so little time. She often wonders how she will cope with the changes taking place so suddenly. Kristy has been so used to her cocoon for so long, that she can only imagine how life will be on the outside. You see, the cocoon has been her shelter for so long and she has felt very secure there inside of it. She has wondered alot about what life would be like outside of her cocoon and how the world would now see & accept her with a new body. The time is coming for the caterpillar to experience her transformation. She has been closed up inside of the cocoon for too long now. She excitedly awaits her big, life-changing day where she will be freed to her new world to begin her life-long journey and discover her "Real" & "New" self! Kristy can't wait for her transformation to take place. She is very excited to be only weeks away from starting her new life. But, most of all, she can't wait to finally be able to spread her wings and fly!!
