Yale-New Haven Hospital

"My needs were adequately met, and I would choose Yale again, but I was not thrilled to be in a room with two other patients who were very sick. I was recovering from elective surgery, but my roomates were very ill. It just messed with my head a bit. "

Robert Bell

"Pre-op:rn11/16/07 I attended a group information session and was very impressed with Dr. Bell and his staff. *After speaking with his staff for months via telephone, I had felt that they were always very busy, and would not see me or allow me to attend a group information session until I had completed their very long checklist of pre-qualifications, including nut, psych and other testing. I feel that this group information session would be extremely helpful for someone to decide if surgery is the way to go for them, before they spend all their money and time for testing. * this is more a reflection of Yale Hospital procedures than of my opinion of Dr. Bell and staff, but it was my first impression, and I'd like others to know. A nearby hospital holds a group info session first, than has people sign up if they are interested in more info. rnPost-op:rnMy respect and admiration for Dr. Bell has grown immensely with this experience. Not only is he extremely thorough and professional, he is also kind and compassionate, sharing bits of his personal life and experience along the way. "
