ADD ???? at the age of 47????

Well I saw the Psych today - and after answering 470 questions online and speaking with him for 30 minutes - he tells me I am ADD!!! That is why he thinks I gained all this weight after I stopped working. I need structure in my life. I do not do well on my own..............I am wondering if Lapband is going to by the way for me to go......if I need structure????? Then maybe RNY????? Oh woe is me...........I promised my Mom I would not do a bypass..........mmmm listen to my Mom or to my doctors???
I finally have an appointment date!!!

Yea Rah - I have my first appointments....02/11/08 - I meet with the Psychologist and with a Nutritionist. They both have to clear me for surgery........I will think positive thoughts!!!!

12/05/07 Well, I did it. I sent in an application to Ohio State University Bariatric Surgery Department. I have a request from my PCP and I have called Insurance to make sure I would qualify. All you need is a BMI over 40 - CHECK
one co-morbidity - CHECK and proof that you have been through a 12 week program with a NUT!! CHECK
Now we will wait and see what happens. At this point I am leaning towards the LAPBAND surgery.
