Working out and kicking butt

Well I'm making this post feeling really good inside. Today is officially Wednesday and I can say that I worked out Monday and Tuesday this week. So far I'm a winner!!! Taking each week and each day at a time has really assisted in keeping me from feeling sorry for myself for not working out.  Being that it is Wednesday means it is hump day... Wish me luck that I make it to the gym tonight... I'm not giving up... #winning.

Vegas fun and new commitment

Well the last couple of days has been great. i spent time with my partner for her birthday and just relaxed. We haven't had down time like this in sometime.

On the weightloss front i feel like i have been on a seasaw.  one week im doing great and the next week im gaining. i have came to the conclusion the i will make an all out effort over the next couple of months to make small goals and just stivk to them. hopfully i can gain my weight loss mojo back. Replacing Emoji...

Interview went great!!

Well,
I went to the interview today and everything went great. To my surprise before the interview was over I was given two course books, the teacher’s guides and the name of the two courses that I would be teaching. As you can imagine I was very surprised that things happened so quickly.  I thought that maybe I would have to come back and do a 2nd or 3rd interview but nope.  The Dean of Academic Affairs along with the Department Dean was excited about me becoming apart of the team.  The two classes I will be teaching are once a week for 12 weeks. I'm so excited about this opportunity.  One of the cool things that happened during my interview was that everyone on the interview team had an engineering background.  This was really helpful given the fact that they could understand the concepts I was trying to articulate and they understood the challenges and technical aspect.  Anyhow, tomorrow I'm on my way to the gym.  Nothings going to stop me now...:) I'll update you on how my workout is going this week.

Weekend Goals

This weekend I had planned to go to the gym both today which is saturday as well as sunday.  I was not able to make it today because at the last minute "around 5pm friday night" I recieved a call to interview for a professor position this upcoming Monday.  So I spent most of my day in the hair shop. The news was totally unexpected since there are many qualified canidates especially with the current economic outlook.  I'm so excited that I'm willing to almost do it for free. Only thing is gas is pretty high now a days and I may need a baby sister for some of the teaching times.  This opportunity is a great career booster because if I'm hired I could add to my resume that I'm a go to person/expert in my field... Hurray...

I'm making this post feeling really good inside.  Today marks the 2nd day that me and my partner went to workout at the gym togather. We both have been slacking from where we were when we first started so we have somehow gotten a boost of motivation.

Okay.. so tonight me and my partner are on our way to the gym. It was really hard getting this done since we have to make sure our daughter aint dinner and completed her homework.  I hope tonight is a great workout. I will keep you all posted.

Missing Update

I thought I had left an update several weeks ago but for some reason it is not listed. I guess I was just dreaming or something. Anyhow, I posted some updated pics. They are really not body shots but you can see the weight loss in my face. 

I have stopped really getting on the scale every week. I kind of got into this mind set that I would focus more on my daily journey in the gym.  If I make it to the gym then that day is a great day.  My goal is to get into a habit of being a gym rat.  If I do this I know the weight will come down even more.  I hope to have body shots soon.
