A whole new me!

I am 8 days post-op now. I'm doing very good on my journey. I have lost 15 lbs since I started. I can see it in my face and it makes me feel very good about myself.

When I came home from the hospital I had to explain to my kids that mommy has boo-boos on her belly, so that they wouldn't jump on me. And of course they wanted me to show them! My son kinda looked at me like "What did you do to yourself?!?" But my daughter was very sympathetic. She had that look on your face when you see something that you KNOW would hurt. And she looked at me and said "It's ok Mommy, I'll take care of you and make you all better. Want me to kiss it?" She was so adorable.

My new boyfriend, Jeff, has been doing everything he possibly can to make me comfortable and make sure I have everything I need. I don't think I've had anyone care so much about what I want and need. It's a nice feel, although it's very hard to get use to. I'm use to being very independent and doing everything on my own.

I can't wait to see what else this journey brings to me!!!
