11 Days Post-Op

Mar 29, 2009

I'm feeling very good now. No more post-op pain. Well maybe a little from my port, but that's only when one of my children try to jump on me and hit it. Other than that I'm feeling back to normal now!

I'm down 16 lbs now. I can tell the swelling has gone down in my stomach because I don't have as much restriction as when I did a week ago. So now I have to really pay attention to portion or I may overeat. My boyfriend tends to cook for me and also fixes my plate. So I just tell him to look how much he thinks I would eat and cut that in half. That has been working very well. I get my fill of food and feel satisfied without overeating because I hate not to finish what is on my plate. I've also switched to drinking decaf coffee at work and sweeten it with splenda. I think it curbs my thinking of having that caffine in the morning. I was so worried that cutting out all caffine intake would make me very tired. But it hasn't! I actually have more energy now than I did before. I think it's a combination of eating right and getting the right nutrition in, including my protein.

I'm so much happier now. I can look in the mirror every morning and see somewhat of a difference. I can feel it too. This morning when I was putting on my pinstripped pants for work and I usually had to suck in my belly to button the 2 buttons on the top. Well this morning I started to suck it in and then realized I didn't need to!!! I let it out and buttoned them leaving my belly normal. It was a very good feeling for me!
