Hi Lisa. First of all congratulations!!! I have two dear friends and they told me to bring three things to keep sane. 1: chapstick (for the you can only have water from a little sponge and I am so thirsty I want to die stage) It doesn't last long - promise. Then 2 & 3 are on a more personal note. In an attempt to keep SOME of our dignity,,,, buy a pair of tongs that have a curve at the end (not the straight kind) and a box of cottonelle wet wipes. This way when you go to the potty by yourself,,, you can wrap the wipes around the tongs and take care of yourself. You will feel better and the nurses will appreciate it too:) I used them for three weeks after I got home too. Good luck!
