My post-op visit

Today I am officially 2 weeks and three days post-op and I had my first follow-up visit with my surgeon, Dr. McDaniel.I was quite pleased when the nurse reported to me that my blood pressure was 112/70. That's lower than it's been in months! Secondly, I was even more pleased when she announced that I have lost 16 pounds! I was absolutely thrilled. I have yet to purchase a home scale and told myself that I would wait until my post-op visit to weigh....I''m so glad I did. So today after my appointment I went off to Target and bought myself an uber digital scale for my reward!
The only real problem I have been having has been really bad heartburn first thing in the morning and that started this past Monday. When I told the doc about it, he said that the reflux usually subsides within 3-6 months. He added a small dose of reglan to my medication regimine and told me that would help with gastric emptying and that I probably would'nt have to use it for very long. So that's it. No pain, gaining my strength back every day. Have time off at work so I will take another week off just for some R&R before I go back to the grind.
The best thing is that I have been discovering old smaller sized clothing in the "pit" that is my closet and they are starting to fit! YAY! My last few days off will be spent reorganizing my wardrobe and decluttering some other parts of my life. I am so thrilled with the way things are going. I'ts like a new lease on life and I'm going to take full advantage of every little thing!
