Ok groupies, I would love to hear more about you and your WLS.  I had RNY a year ago last June and went from 355 lbs (310 at date of surgery) to 185 lbs.  At a point where I am not loosing but again I am not exercising the way I should nor eating like I should. 

Hi everyone!  Boy has time flown by...I have not been on here forever.  I am 7 months out and have lost 103 lbs since surgery and 158 since Nov of 09.  Let me tell you it feels great!  Had heel spur removed 11/15/10, developed a DVT and now on blood thinners.  All has put me a little behind in the weight loss plan.  Hope you all are well and doing great!  One day at a time and one step forward.  No matter what happens you can only move forward for yourself and your family!

Time sure flies!  I have lost officially 18 lbs since surgery!!!  Yeah!  Since November I have now lost a total of 63 lbs.  I am getting into clothes that I have not been able to wear in like 3 years.  Its a great feeling!  Just started to be able to eat pureed foods.  It is so important that I remember to eat slow and small bites.  Have not vomited at all.  Found a great website with lots of food ideas and recipes.  Just cant wait to be able to try them.  I am struggling to get all the protein and fluids in.  I am absolutely not hungry at all which makes it very hard to eat!  But yes we have too.  My energy is just about back to where it was...get a little worn out in the afternoon but feeling much better than  last week. 

I was given the clear to have surgery on June 2, 2010.  Rny preformed.  All went well.  Home as of yesterday...VERY sore.  Trying now to figure out how to get all the water and proteins in.  Have a drainage tube that I am so ready to get rid of. 

Went yesterday for my pre admissions testing.  The xray showed a spot on my lung.  So today I had to go in to get a CT scan of my lungs.  No news yet?  Hopefully will know something tomorrow.  Say a prayer for me!!

Surgery is scheduled for June 2, 2010!!!  So excited.  Also got call today from office with all the dates of appointments for all the pre op stuff.  This time is gonna fly right by.....  Cant wait!!! 

Yesterday I was given the verbal approval from the insurance company.  Will have to call Dr. office tomorrow to inform them.  Can not wait to have surgery!  So excited to know that I will be having surgery in the next 3 - 4 weeks.  Yes!!!!!

Go back to doctor on Monday for another appointment.  They will submit letter to insurance company again and should have answer from them within two weeks.  Yipee!!  As soon as they approve my surgery then surgeon will get it scheduled.  I am so excited and looking forward to this.  I am a little worried about the whole 2 week period after surgery where I have to puree everything not so much everything just meats...the thought just makes me sick.  One of my friends that has went through this suggested getting refried beans instead of meat...any thoughts on this?  Let me know. 

Well the first letter was sent in for approval to the insurance company and was denied as I had not met the 6 month supervised weight management.  So I go to doctor in 2 weeks then another letter will be sent in again.  So anxious to get this approved and get surgery done.  In one aspect I feel like the time I started down this journey has flown by and another side seems like it has just dragged on.  I just want to start my new life!!  Cant wait!!!
