Today I receive my gift! A "chucker" pouch!

Mar 17, 2008

Surgical Team,
I want to be sure to let you know how much I appreciate the care that you give to people every day.  Today, it was my turn and you put all of life's cares and concerns behind you and focused on me!   What you do in your daily work is so important.  You have to do what you do best EVERY day, there is no time for you to have a slacker day.
I am a teacher and I think about how every word I say to my students helps them turn into who they will become.  I could choose to be inattentive and not help them flourish or I can put my undivided attention into each of them as individuals.  I know what I do is important, yet it goes unnoticed by most parents.
I wanted to be sure that you hear this HUGE thank you from me.  You are in a position where people may not have the chance to show you their appreciation and some of you don't even get to meet your patients when they are awake.  So, I say it to you ALL right now...THANK YOU from the bottom of my toes for the work you did with me today!  I have received a gift that I refer to as the "chucker" pouch!   But with that I know it is each and every one of you that put 110% into your work each and every day.
Thank you doesn't seem like enough for the job you do.  Just remember, I and many others are forever grateful for the care that you give!
Blessings to each of you and your families!
