About Me/Got an Appointment!

This is my first post. A little about myself: My name is Lisa! I'm 20 years old, and a mommy of one boy! I have struggled with my weight my whole life. I have always been the "big girl" in my group of friends and in the crowd. After having my son in July 2012, everything really changed for me. Not only did I have a new baby and a new life, I realized that I seriously needed to do something about my weight. My weight just seems to always keep climbing, no matter the effort I put forth. Until now, I never really considered having weight loss surgery. I did a lot of research recently, and found that it actually may be a great option for me. No, I do not currently have any major health issues (besides my weight, of course), but I feel I truly NEED to do this; not only for myself, but for my son. I need to set an example for him, and be as healthy as I want him to be. I finally went to my primary doctor and discussed my concerns with her. She referred me to Saranac Lake, NY, and I FINALLY got the call to set up an appointment! It doesn't seem like a big deal to most people, but to me, it's one step closer to the start of a new, much healthier life! My appointment is October 23rd, 2012, and it cannot come soon enough!
