Trace Curry

"I first met with Dr. Curry, and his staff in November of 2004. I had already heard wonderful things of Dr. Curry. After meeting him and the staff I understood why. They are all wonderful! I am so glad I made the decision to have Dr. Curry perform my surgery and to have him and his staff be there every step of the way during this new journey. Several things I would like to point out. I am always able to contact Dr. Curry's office and am able to speak to someone. On few occassions I have left a message and they to call me back in a very short amount of time. Everyone is more than willing to answer any questions I might have. They're just an incredible group of people. Before, the day of and after the surgery Dr. Curry, had a great bedside manner. He came in every day and answered any question I might of had, also letting me know how he thought things were going. This was my first time having any type of surgery. I Certainly hope I never have to have any type of surgery again, but if I do, I hope that the surgeon and his/her staff is as great as Dr. Curry and his staff. Thanks Dr. Curry, for giving me the tools I need to create a better life for myself! Lisa "

Deaconess Hospital

"I can only speak for myself, Dr. Curry, is amazing, his staff is amazing, For the most part nurses and the aids that took care of me were amazing. BUT, there were a couple things I very much disliked. 1st and most important!!! Dr. Curry Ordered an IV Drug for me to help me because I was bleeding internally, this drug would help whatever was bleeding to seal off. This was ordered early in the day on WEDNESDAY, All day I kept asking the nurses has this came up from the pharm. They would just say no not yet. Finally at 11PM I did get a little nasty and said to the nurse (Who's name I believe was Tonya), that again said no its not here yet ( damn someone could bleed to death before getting the medication they need!!!) Not long after that was said the medication did arrive with the Nurse stating (Oh the Pharm. Thought they had already sent this up earlier in the day) Well wouldn't that have been the Nurses job to check???? By the time they got this running in my IV it was after 11pm and by 7am my IV's blew and they had to stop giving it to me. I didn't think house keeping did a very good job. Most days my trash can was over flowing, there was quite a bit of dirt on the bathroom floors, No one took my old broth bowls at one time there were 2-3 still sitting on the table. People came in and out but no one touched them. Also there items that were off my bed (dirty Sheets) that were left in the room for days and was still there when I left. Bottom line, I loved the Dr. and the complete Staff! A special Thanks to Nurses, Amy & Lance They were there during the time I just got out of surgery (the worst time for me) and they were wonderful!!!! The Hospital itself needs work. "
