Meh, I got LOTS of time!

Do you know how when you are anticipating something it seems like it is forever away and then one day you wake up and realize that the event that you just can’t wait for is about 2 days away!! Of course that means that all those things that you have put off because they didn’t need to be done until the week of, are NOT DONE!!!
Now, it’s not a problem, as a habitual procrastinator, I have built time into my schedule to get all the things done that need to get done on the two days that I am off work before my upcoming incapacitation. All will be just fine EXCEPT that my plastic surgeons office just called and says, “We need to change your surgery time from Saturday at 1pm to Friday morning at 7AM, would you be able to do that?” Ummmmm, Wow, I guess so. I mean, what am I going to say, no? So now my 2.5 DAYS has turned into a matter of hours.
I end up calling Janis and freaking out to her because she is the one that is to be driving me up and nursing me through the first couple days of my transformation to stunning. Have I mentioned yet that she is amazing? "What?" She says. "I need to take a day off on Friday so we can be in Tulsa? Sure!" "Should we stay at a hotel? I'll call and check" and on and on. Have I mentioned yet that she is the most logical thinker I know? She is my girl soulmate. Our hubbys are lucky we don't swing for the other team or they'd have been Out!
I send off e-mail messages to the 3 events that I had scheduled to go to between Thursday evening and Saturday morning (wouldn't want too much time on my hands) and still end up forgetting one.
So here I am stuck at work on Wednesday, realizing that in 25 hours, I am going to be on the road to Tulsa. Bags packed? Nope. Associated stuff that I will need packed? Nope. Mani and Pedi done? Nope. BUT I'm taking care of that as soon as I leave work. A girls gotta have priorities! The rest can be done in the other 23 hours I have. Psh, I got PLENTY of time....
