Here we go again

In December 2009 my band slipped. I did not know what had happened, just that I was sick 24/7 and could not keep ANYTHING down. I went in for an EGD and had to have emergency surgery. Now, 19 months later I have gained back all but about 13 pounds of what I had lost and am having the Roux-en-Y done on August 29th. I should have had that done in the first place buy my family did not want me to go that route because they felt banding was safer. HA! And after all the insistance that I have the lap band, my now ex-husband goes and has the roux-en-Y and has lost over 152 pounds. Did not take care of his laziness unfortunately. I re-married - found my high school sweetheart, the first love of my life, on facebook of all places and we began talking. He had lost his wife unexpectedly and was just living day to day, as was I. I think God had a hand in bringing us back together. I love him more today than ever before, and am so thankful. He supports my decision, as does my immediate family. Am I scared? Of course, but I've put it in God's hands and am at peace with my decision. I am looking forward to a wonderful future.
