Hello Lorraine, I just wanted to say congratulations on your decision to have weight loss surgery. I see that your date is just around the corner and we can’t wait to welcome you to the other side. As you start to lose the pounds you are going to feel so much better and your energy level will just grow. In just a few short months you’ll be able to do things you never thought possible. The little things will get so much easier, like tying your shoes. I know, I had RNY Gastric Bypass in August of 2004, and I’ve lost 130 lbs. Now the surgery and the change in lifestyle are not walks in the park. That’s why I go to support group meetings and belong to online WLS discussion groups like http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/WLBSS/ . And I check out websites like Obesity Help, http://FreedomExpress.net/WLSsupport and http://wlbss.com for support and information. WLBSS stands for Weight Loss Bariatric Surgery Support, and you should take advantage of all the support you can get. Get all your questions answered by experienced losers who are now winners. From the Girth, a Rising Phoenix, a Bariatric Butterfly, that soon will be you. Congrats and good luck. We’re all right behind you and with you as you start to change your life. Take Care, Bill Johnson-Miles

This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- May God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly. We all like to see how we are doing!!! Make sure you take pictures. It’s great to see the new you emerge!!! Not to mention the look on YOUR face when you look at those pictures and compare them in a few months! It’ll be a BIG WOW!!! Please remember too, that this is a *tool* to use. Make sure you use it wisely. Choose the right foods and measurements wisely! Feel free to look at my profile and see my ups and downs and know I’d not change a thing with anything I’ve experienced. Hello Lorraina ~ <b>CONGRATULATIONS</b> Your special day is almost here. I hope the emotions you're experiencing are full of excitement, hope, anticipation and peace. I wish for YOU all the health, joy, energy and wonderment that Ive found with weight loss surgery. It never ceases to amaze me, daily, all the wonderful and special moments that are now available to me with regaining my health. You'll be experiencing those same "special moments" yourself - make sure to keep up with your journal so that others can share in your happiness too. This is a second chance to LIVE again, no words can truly express the freedoms that come with LIVING LIFE rather then merely existing through it. This surgery has been nothing short of a miracle for me and I will be forever grateful. I've lost 230 lbs and have been at goal and in maintenance for over a year now. I'll end this with one of my FAVORITE quotes...... <i>"To grow, you must be willing to let your present and future be totally <u>unlike</u> your past. Your history is not your destiny." -- Alan Cohen </i> .....<b>So very true! : )</b> If you'd like to read about my weight loss experiences it can be found here: <b> http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/profile.phtml?N=G1025993964 </b>
