I got my first refill since March today.  He gave me 1.5 CCs and had no issues locating the port.  So far i am on liquids so I havent felt a difference..I am doing 60 mins of cardio a day now and plan to rejoin Weight Watchers soon to give the weight loss a new jump start!

I went to the dr. today..my primary care dr.  Not the weight loss surgeon. I havent been back to the surgeon in almost a year since my "episode"..I was down 11 lbs since my last visit and down 68 lbs since i started the journey 18 months ago.  Its no where I thought I would be at this point but I must say Im proud of my story and I am proud of the work i have put in to make the weight loss continue with no fill...I do plan to get a fill again at the end of Dec.  I just thank God for this journey so far. 

Today is my one year anniversary.  I have no regrets!  Although I dont have a fill in my band and never plan to get another one after the tramatic experience I had the last time..I have no regrets and would most likely do it all over again..the lapband rules taught me the basics to loosing weight..with or without a band.. The lapband forced me to follow those rules until they were habit..For example I never drank enough water..now I get way over my 64 ounces a day..and never eat when I drink.  This taught me the difference between hunger and thirst..and when I am hydrated I dont crave soda or any other calorie fill drinks.  I eat my calories now.   I work out ever day and love it!  I am still taking it day by day but I am down over 50lbs and feel like I have learned the way to keep it off...Thanks to my support system and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

My surgery was July of 08 so I guess I am 10 months out now...not back in April.
I have not had a fill since my unfill on April 1.  I gained but I am back on track now. 
I have joined weight watchers and work out 50 mins of cardio a day and  personal training twice a week....
Its hard work but I am trying to do it on my own ...I would like to try to get a fill again someday....
But I do not ever want to go thru the trauma I went thru last time...
I guess this is a case of a failed band...but I refruse to fail personally..

First the good news..i went to the Dr. today and I have hit my first goal of being under 299...meaning a total weight loss of 49lbs!! 
The bad news..i was way too tight and had to get all the fill removed..i was a hysterical crying mess because they did not want to remove the fill (i was in way too much pain for it not to be at least reduced)...and when they decided to go ahead and do it..they spent about an hour poking me..3 different drs to find the port..I was traumatized...so the Dr. took out the entire fill...
I'm not sure I will be getting it back....with the tightness and painful event to unfill...im afraid to do it again...I need to just try harder with out the band for a while..

I had stalled for about three month..especially since the nurse wouldn't give me a fill...i learned if i make my appts with the surgeon I will get one...so the scale is moving down again..

Well I met with the surgeon last week and was allowed to get a fill.  It was my 2nd since I have had the band (six months now).  I actually feel restriction for the first time ever!  Im so excited. I havent lost anything in months so it was nice to see that I lost this week...yeah!!

Good news..no hernia was seen in the CT scan so he gave me a fill up to 3.25.  I actually feel a little restriction now..I am hopeful to see some weight loss soon..

I had an interesting three month visit today.  It started off with my group session which was me and one other lady. That lady was very mean and attackful to me.  I had to interject and tell her she needed to respect me and focus on her own issues.   Then I waited for ever for my nurse visit.  I had not lost any weight from last time but I couldnt get a fill because I have been having this pain near my incision so they think it could be a hernia...I hope not ..I cant bear to think about another surgery.  Then to top it all off, a fire drill happens in the middle of it all..making this appointment take a total of 3 hours!!! 

It was kind of uncomfortable. I wouldn’t say painful.  He did it under the Xray machine.  So he had to work a bit to find the port once he found it, he gave me 4CC and asked me to drink some barium.  The barium wouldn’t pass and he could see the reflux so he took some out. I have 2 CCs in my 10 CC band.  I feel the restriction. Definitely in the morning and definitely when I eat something heavy like meat.  I was down a few lbs today…hopefully the band will start working now
